“Really? Promotion of breeders and puppy farms? What a way to use your fame! Shame on you!” wrote one disgusted fan.

Another added: “Unfollowed. I have always supported you but this is too far. You should do your research on puppy farming before advertising.”

While a third wrote: “I have 2 frenchies from top quality breeders and you should never see a marble frenchie?? They are only 3 real colours fawn brindle and pied. Stop messing with this beautiful breed they are being destroyed for money making reasons.”

Others pointed out that that there were many puppies in shelters desperately looking for homes, with one fan insisting: “There are shelters crammed with beautiful animals in need of a home. Absolutely wrong to publicise a puppy farm or the backyard breeding of ANY animals.”

However the breeders Luxury Frenchies & Pugs World defended their business on her Instagram feed writing: “For the people commenting that we are puppy farmers, nice to see you have taken the time to do your research to confirm your crazy thoughts.

“If you actually take the time to look at our page you will see most of the time we are sharing pics of other quality and beautiful pups not all the dogs have been bred by us, we just enjoy sharing beautiful puppy pictures.

“Lastly just because someone breeds dogs doesn’t necessarily mean that they are puppy farmers, I welcome anyone to come and see my dogs in person, no puppy farm here.”

This isn’t the first time Kerry has caused furore among her fans for her treatment of her pets. In 2009 she was slammed for allegedly changing a puppy she was given by her ex husband Mark Croft after it was claimed she didn’t like the colour of its fur.

She was also seen during one episode of her reality show What’s The Problem? getting rid of her bulldog after she became sick of it messing on her carpet.
