Fans came out in droves to congratulate the star, with one replying: “How lovely, hope you you both manage to have a great relationship after all this time.”
Another wrote: “Oh brilliant I can see resemblance delighted for you both.”
Kerry, who revealed her dramatic new look last month, had already spoken to her brother through Facetime after eight years of texting each other.
She described the “emotional” moment to fans on Instagram last week when she wrote: “Omg just spoke to my Biological brother for the first time on facetime! Emotional isn’t the world! Xxxxxx”
Her followers were curious to see what her long-lost brother, who gives his name on Instagram as Jason Armstrong Dickinson, looks like.
And when she finally shared a photo of him, many were quick to point out the family resemblance, with one saying the two were “Double of each other!” and another pointing out: “You have the same nose”.
Kerry was raised by four sets of foster parents in Warrington, Cheshire, attending eight different schools before eventually becoming a lap dancer and touring Europe with a dance group.
Speaking to The Guardian in 2012, Kerry described a “complicated” family tree and told the paper: “My mum had an affair and got pregnant with me. After coming to see me when I was six weeks old, my birth father went back home to his wife and kids.
“When I was born, Mum was seeing another guy, who I used to call Dad. His dad was my ‘grandad’. Then my mum left him for his dad.”
In 2008, she hired a private investigator to find her biological father. Despite being handed a video and photograph of her dad, she decided not to contact him, fearful of pulling apart a potentially happy family.
Her dad died a few weeks after the private investigator found him, and Kerry admitted her regret that they never got to meet.
His widow later told Kerry that, had she knocked on their door, she would have been welcomed “with open arms”.
