Could former Atomic Kitten Kerry Katona be heading for soapland?
Well, it seems that she should wait for a call from the Hollyoaks bosses, after it was revealed that she would be perfect for the Channel 4 show.
Soap star Kieron Richardson has revealed that he would love to see Kerry on the Hollyoaks roster.
Speaking to OK! Online, he joked that Kerry would be great for a cameo appearance.
If it was up to him though, Kerry wouldn’t be the only one that pops up in Chester.
He thinks US reality star Kim Kardashian would be a fantastic addition too.
Kieron said: “I’ve asked for Kerry Katona before, and I don’t think that went down too well. I’ve asked for Kim Kardashian too.
“I’ll make everyone get a cameo, get everyone in!”
He is not the only one that is touting for additional cast members.
New boy Duncan James wants to see his friend Tara Palmer-Tomkinson in the soap with him.
He told OK! Online: “I’ve told Tara to watch it, and she’s going to start.
“I’ll have to get her up one day. Maybe she could get a cameo.”
Where this may all be pie in the sky, there is one TV legend that is confirmed as joining the soap.
Former Dallas star Linda Gray, who played Sue Ellen Ewing in the hit 80’s drama, is taking on the role of Marnie Nightingale’s mother Tabitha Maxwell-Brown.
In what is supposed to be a ‘guest role’, there is hope that she will prove such a hit, that an extended stay will be in the offing.
Linda said about the role: “I’m thrilled to be going from one iconic series to another and can’t wait to work with the fantastic cast.
“Hollyoaks’ viewers are going to love it when Tabby whips up a storm just like Sue Ellen did.”
Executive producer Bryan Kirkwood added: “When we came to discuss who could possibly play Marnie’s mother the list was very small.
“Lysette Anthony has fast become a fabulous soap b***h so having Linda Gray play her mother Tabitha is the perfect fit.”
The wait for Kerry might go on but it looks like the Hollyoaks net is being cast and who wouldn’t want to see her pitch up in Chester, with or without Kim Kardashian.
