Kensington Palace shares photos of Princess Charlotte as she starts nursery school

Proud mum Kate took the shots

Princess Charlotte has officially started at her prestigious nursery school, and her parents have marked the occasion as all parents do – with adorable photos.

A spokesperson for the school said at the time, “We are delighted that The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have chosen the Willcocks Nursery School for Princess Charlotte.

“We look forward to welcoming Charlotte to our nursery in January.”

Today marked the Princess’s first day at the school – and the Palace marked the occasion by sharing photos of her dressed and ready to learn.

They shared two images on Twitter, featuring Princess Charlotte wearing a red coat and matching shoes.

The post read, “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share two photographs of Princess Charlotte at Kensington Palace this morning.”

The tweet was followed by confirmation that the pictures had been taken by Kate Middleton as she sent her daughter off to school for the first time.

“The images were taken by The Duchess shortly before Princess Charlotte left for her first day of nursery at the Willcocks Nursery School.”

The school is just over a ten minute walk from Prince William and Kate’s home at Kensington Palace.

Charlotte’s older brother and future King of England, Prince George is reported to be returning to Thomas’ Battersea school next week.
