Kensington Palace has released new photos of Prince Louis as he celebrates his first birthday.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s youngest child was welcomed into the world on April 23 last year.

To mark his first birthday, three official photos of the tot were shared to the Palace’s Twitter page, showing little Louis smiling in the grounds of the family’s home on the Queen’s Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.

The first photo shows Louis showing off his little teeth as he looked away from the camera.

The second sees the prince staring directly at the camera as he sported an adorable blue knitted jumper featuring a dog.

The final snap shows Louis with his beaming as he crawled around in the garden.

The post from last night was captioned: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to share three new photographs of Prince Louis ahead of his first birthday tomorrow.

“The photographs were taken earlier this month by The Duchess at their home in Norfolk.”

Royal fans couldn’t get enough of the beautiful pictures, with many pointing out he looks just like his older siblings, Prince George, five, and Princess Charlotte, three.

One person said: “William and Catherine, thank you so much for releasing these beautiful pictures of your adorable baby boy. Louis is so sweet.”

Another wrote: “What a little cutie, he looks like both George and Charlotte,” while a third gushed: “He is the PERFECT combination of George and Charlotte. What a cutie!”

Louis was born at 11:01am on April 23 last year at the Lindo Wing, a private maternity ward at St. Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, London.

Last month, mum Kate described Louis as an active child who enjoyed “bombing around” on a walker.

During a visit to a children’s centre, Kate said: “He just wants to pull himself up all the time. He’s got these little walkers and is bombing around on them.”

The new photos of Louis come after his great grandmother, the Queen, celebrated her 93rd birthday on Easter Sunday.

Her Majesty attended an Easter Sunday service at St George’s chapel in Windsor Castle, along with members of the royal family including Kate, William and the Duke of Sussex, Harry.

Any day now, Harry and his wife Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, will welcome their first child.

The couple recently revealed they will not announce the birth of their first child straight away, as they would like time to “celebrate privately”.

The joint statement read: “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very grateful for the goodwill they have received from people throughout the United Kingdom and around the world as they prepare to welcome their baby.

“Their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private.

“The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family.”
