Kensington Palace has released new photos of Princess Charlotte to mark her fourth birthday today.

The Duchess of Cambridge captured beautiful snaps of the young royal at Kensington Palace and at their home in Norfolk.

To mark Charlotte turning four, three official photos of the little girl were shared to the Palace’s Twitter page, showing her smiling for the camera as she played outside.

The first picture shows Charlotte sitting on the grass wearing a blue floral dress as she smiled at the camera.

The second sees Charlotte grinning as she ran around holding a yellow flower while wearing a tartan skirt and a grey cardigan.

The final pic shows the royal climbing a fence as she smiled at the camera.

The post was captioned: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share three new photographs of Princess Charlotte ahead of her fourth birthday tomorrow.

“The photographs were taken in April by The Duchess at Kensington Palace and at their home in Norfolk.”

Of course, royal fans went wild for the adorable photos, with many convinced Charlotte looks like her great grandmother, the Queen.

One person commented: “She looks EXACTLY like the Queen and definitely more like William than Kate.”

Another wrote: “The cuteness I can’t take it,” while a third said: “I see a lot of Queen Elizabeth in her!”

Charlotte is the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s second child.

The couple are also parents to Prince George, five, and Prince Louis, who turned one on April 23.

Last week, Kensington Palace released new photos of Louis to celebrate his first birthday.

The adorable pictures showed little Louis smiling in the grounds of the family’s home on the Queen’s Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.

The first photo saw Louis showing off his little teeth as he looked away from the camera while another showed the tot beaming as he crawled around in the garden.

The post from last night was captioned: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to share three new photographs of Prince Louis ahead of his first birthday tomorrow.

“The photographs were taken earlier this month by The Duchess at their home in Norfolk.”

Royal fans couldn’t get enough of the beautiful pictures, with many pointing out he looks just like his older siblings, George and Charlotte.
