Kelvin Fletcher divides fans as he shows off new look for latest role

He's shaved his beard off!

Kelvin Fletcher has left fans divided as he showed off a new look for an upcoming role.

The former Emmerdale actor shaved off his beard but kept his mustache as he revealed he had to change his look for his role as a character called John Seabourne.

Kelvin shared a photo of him on set in Suffolk sporting the tashe alongside a camera and clapperboard.

Kelvin captioned the post: "First day filming as 'John Seabourne'."

Fans were divided over the tash, with some people loving it while others weren't keen.

One person said: "How fit do you look," while another wrote: "Love the moustache. Would love to see a beard too."

A third added: "How does a moustache make you look even sexier?"

But others weren't feeling the moustache.

One person commented: "That moustache needs to go," while another wrote: "Not keen on the moustache."

A third said: "70’s porn star look (sorry)."

Kelvin's new role comes after he stripped off for The All New Monty: Who Bares Wins last month.

The actor prepared for the show - which saw the stars perform a Full Monty-style striptease to raise awareness of male cancers - by getting spray tans and shaving his pubic hair.

Kelvin stripped alongside Dancing On Ice star Matt Evers, former footballer Jason Cundy, Crimewatch presenter Rav Wilding, snooker player Willie Thorne, comedian Joe Pasquale and Love Island star Jack Fincham.

Meanwhile, earlier this year, Kelvin joked he should stay away from Emmerdale because the soap has gone "from strength to strength" since he left.

He said during an appearance on Lorraine: "It'll be three years since I've left coming up this year. It's a terrific show and coincidentally it has started winning awards since I left.

"So maybe it's a good thing that I don't go back? Since I've been gone it's going from strength to strength.

"It's a fantastic show and richly deserves the awards they're receiving now. For me, I've very much moved on and I want to pursue other things. If I did want to go back in the future, who knows?"
