Katie Price is reportedly “worried” her mum’s terminal illness is hereditary and could be passed on to her kids.
The star’s mum Amy is suffering from degenerative lung disease idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and sources close to Katie have revealed that the mum-of-five is “becoming increasingly paranoid as so many things have gone wrong in her life”.
Speaking to Closer, the source added: “Katie has spent the last few years running away from her problems but after properly researching her mum’s illness, it has sparked fears it could be passed down to her kids.”
Katie is mum to Harvey, 16, Junior, 13, Princess, 11, Jett, five, and Bunny, four.
Her eldest Harvey is partially blind, autistic and has Prader-Willi syndrome.

The insider added: “With everything Harvey’s been through, the idea of him being at risk of this disease is really distressing for her. He’s already had so many health issues and she struggles to cope as it is.”
The source revealed that Katie has spoken to doctors who have “tried to calm her anxieties about it”.
The source said: “She keeps waiting for the next bad thing to happen and has convinced herself that she’s cursed.”
The insider claimed that Katie – who recently appeared on Loose Women with an emotional Amy – has been tested for the disease.
However, it is said to be more commonly developed later on in life.

Katie ran the London Marathon last year dressed as a giant lung to raise awareness of the disease.
The source said Katie wants to “educate herself and others on the disease and is even looking into doing a reality show on it”.
The star has also been “making sure the kids are getting lots of fresh air and not hanging around places that are polluted or where they could be exposed to a lot of metal or wood dust, which is said to contribute to the risk”.
The source added that even though Amy has never smoked, she’s “already warning Princess and Junior of the dangers of cigarettes”.

Katie is dating personal trainer Kris Boyson and recently sparked engagement rumours by posting a picture of the pair looking loved up while wearing a huge diamond ring on her engagement finger.
