Katie Price defied advice to avoid costumes for the London Marathon on account of the heat, opting to hang two giant lungs off her arms.
The model and Loose Women panellist had decided to race this year to raise money for the British Lung Foundation, after disclosing her mum’s terminal lung condition.
And she wasn’t about to let a bit of warm sunshine get in the way of her planned theatre – and good for her!
Her followers on Instagram offered their support, with one admirer saying: “Love this and love your spirit!!!Good luck girlie xx”
Another wrote: “😃well done @officialkatieprice doin that for yr mam!!she must be soo proud of ya xx”
A third enthused: “Inspirational and it’s so special that you’re doing this for your lovely mum. 💕💕💕”
Speaking ahead of the race, the mum-of five told The Sun: “I’m just looking forward to seeing my mum’s face when I’m at the finishing line.
“I need to see her face at the end to know I did it for her. And knowing that she’ll be proud,” the star told The Sun.
Katie was among a whole host of celebs who set off on the 26-mile course from south-east London first thing Sunday morning.
GMB’s Sean Fletcher chose to run to raise money for YoungMinds, the mental heath charity that has helped his son Reuben, who has Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
Super-fit BBC newsreader Sophie Raworth is only just back in the country after completing the ultra run, the Marathon Des Sables.
But she laced up her trainers once more to run in London.
Inspired by their marathon-running, celebrity-chef dad Gordon Ramsay, two of his children Holly and Jack also laced up for the famous race.
They’re both raising money for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
