Katherine Jenkins has revealed she’s expecting her second child with husband Andrew Levitas – two years after welcoming her first child, Aaliyah.
The Welsh opera singer took to social media to share her joy with fans, revealing the news next to a sweet image of her daughter, who was dressed as a little superhero.
The words “Sidekick coming soon…” were written across the picture, revealing the fact little Aaliyah is going to become a big sister in the new year.
Katherine, who is 37, told her Instagram followers, “Andrew and I are overjoyed that our family will be growing in 2018 with the addition of our second child – a baby brother for our little superhero Aaliyah!”
Within hours, thousands of well-wishes had taken to the social media site to send their congratulations to the star.
Earlier this month the star admitted she would love to have another baby now that her daughter is two years old. She told Hello magazine, “It’s all about timing, but I would really love to have a second child and for Aaliyah to have a sibling, to have a friend in the world.”
She added that she didn’t expect to take to being a mum as easily as she did… “I feel so chilled and relaxed about life.
“My husband and I love being parents and Aaliyah makes us so happy. She’s fun, kind and affectionate – and a mummy’s girl.”
Katherine often takes to social media to share insights into her family life. She even shared news of her first pregnancy with the world via Instagram and Twitter.
