As a presenter on Good Morning Britain, Kate Garraway is often seen on our TV screens – so it’s understandable that she wants to looks her best.
And the 50-year-old had a little fun with her Instagram followers yesterday as she offered some advice on how to make the most of a ‘pear-shaped’ figure.
The smiley host uploaded ‘before and after’ pictures of herself wearing a stylish pink dress, and asked her fans if they could spot the difference – and guess how she’d achieved it.
She later put them out of their misery by sharing a video in which she explained her wardrobe secret – and it’s simple but ingenious!
The Oxfordshire-born star captioned the original two pictures: “Love this fab #dress from @frenchconnection – but can you spot the difference? It’s my little trick for #fatdays #nofilter #hacks #tricksofthetrade.”
In all fairness, she looked great in both shots, but in the second she seemed a bit more… balanced.
And her followers came up with all kinds of explanations for the slightly enhanced look: everything from a girdle to high heels, a different camera angle to the fact that she was pulling her shoulders back.
A few of them even guessed the correct answer.

Kate then returned with a video giving away her trick. In hushed tones, she told the camera: “Thank you so much for all your lovely comments about my dress this morning. It’s a fab dress from French Connection, but I’m going to let you into a little secret.
“This is what I always do because I think if you’ve got hips like me, it balances out your figure.
“I have little shoulder pads – you can get them online or anywhere. I just tuck them in under my dress, and it balances out my shape.”
She then winked: “So that’s my secret – don’t tell anyone.”

Earlier this month, Kate was left shocked after her GMB co-host Ben Shephard claimed that her dress resembled a well-known sweet.
She told viewers: “He’s been taking the mickey out of me – he always does it.
“Just before we come on air for a serious news story, I’m giggling like an idiot.”
Ben then piped up: “Because you look like a chocolate bar! The purple Quality Street!”
Oh, Ben!
