Peter Andre says it’s “scary” that son Junior is nearly a teen

We've all watched Junior growing up!

Peter Andre has admitted he can’t believe eldest son Junior is about to be a teenager.

The Mysterious Girl singer told readers of his New magazine column he can’t wrap his head around how fast Junior is growing up.

Pete and now ex-wife Katie Price welcomed Junior in June 2005, which means in just a few short weeks Junior will be celebrating his milestone 13th birthday!

Pete told fans: “I can’t believe he’s going to be a teenager in a few weeks’ time! How scary is that?”

The former reality star also shares daughter Princess, ten, with Katie, and has kids Amelia, four, and Theo, one, with second wife Emily.

Peter, 45, spoke about the children’s bond in his column, saying: “[Amelia] is such an amazing big sister, as is Bista [his nickname for Princess]. The only one that kind of comes in and out is Junior. Quick kiss and then he’s off doing his own thing.”

While it’s obviously a huge thing for Pete and Katie to see their son become a teenager, it’s also sure to strike a chord with their fans, who watched Junior grow up on TV.

The little boy has featured in his parents’ reality shows since birth, as well as appearing in photoshoots with them, and in their autobiographies.

Peter, meanwhile, previously joked he wasn’t ready for either Junior or Princess to become teenagers!

He told Now magazine last year: “I drive past churches on the way to school with Princess and tell her that’s where she’s going to go, she’s going to be a nun. She’s not happy about it [laughs].

“I’m stressing about it, but I’m going to try to embrace it because every child has to go through it. Babies have mood swings, so do toddlers, so do adults, so why not teenagers?”

And in a separate interview with OK! magazine, the former I’m A Celeb contestant said he wasn’t ready to deal with Junior or Princess dating as teens!

“What freaks me out is that in five years Junior will be 17 and meeting girls,” he said.

“They’re both still babies to me. They ask me a lot of questions which I’m dodging like bullets! But if they ask me something I don’t lie to them.”

Good luck, Pete!
