Julia Bradbury celebrates ‘chink of good news’ in her breast cancer battle

She revealed her diagnosis back in September

Countryfile favourite Julia Bradbury has shared a “chink of good news” with her social media followers.

Julia, a regular on This Morning, revealed she had been diagnosed with breast cancer back in September.

A month later she shared a post revealing she’d had a “brutal” mastectomy.

What good news did Julia Bradbury share?

Julia has been continuing to share her recovery with her social media followers.

And today (December 3), she shared some good news with them.

“Morning all. Had my first full night of sleep last night, since my diagnosis. No middle of the night wake-up. Whoop whoop,” she said.

Julia added: “Have a good day folks. It’s all about the little chinks of ‘good’.

“Every day may not be good, but there is something good in every day.”

She then revealed the sleep rules she follows, and paid tribute to her reflexologist Rupert.

“By the way for this struggling with sleep in this instance I asked Rupert, an amazing reflexologist, to concentrate on my sleep (lots of big toe work!) – and voila,” she shared.

How did her followers react?

Julia’s followers are an uplifting bunch and flooded the post with positive comments.

One said: “Love your upbeat way. 🙌 I aspire to being more Julia. 😂 And sleep’s a great healer.”

Another added: “Always looking for the positives. It’s the little things that push us forward.”

“Morning beautiful soul 😘,” said another. “The good bits will over come the bad in the end. Love and hugs.”

Today just happened to be Julia’s sister Gina’s birthday, and she was among those who commented on the post.

Gina said: “That’s the best birthday news I’ve had today! Yeh sissy.”

Others shared Julia’s feelings, with one man admitting his wife is living with cancer and struggling too.

“Glad you’re sleeping better, my wife wakes up half way through the night worrying about her diagnosis,” he shared.
