Jesy Nelson sobs on stage as Little Mix bandmates rush to comfort her

Jesy broke down as they performed The Cure

Little Mix star Jesy Nelson burst into tears on stage during a gig in Milan this week as her bandmates rushed to comfort her.

The singers were performing The Cure when Jesy started to sob and struggled to sing the chorus, which features the line ‘The tears fell down, but they don’t anymore.’

But bandmates Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall, Leigh-Anne Pinncok quickly consoled her, with Perrie giving her a hug and Leigh-Anne putting a comforting arm around her.

Jesy’s emotional on-stage moment, filmed by fans in the audience, comes a week after the 28-year old revealed she had tried to take her own life after she was targeted by cruel online trolls.

During the BBC Three documentary, Jesy spoke bravely about the effects of online trolling.

“I honestly can’t get my head around it. I just don’t understand how you can ever want to make someone feel that way, especially when you don’t even know that person.”

Saying she now has a “better mindset” and is better able to deal with comments, Jesy said her boyfriend Chris Hughes has been a tower of strength.

Jesy shared: “He’s lovely, he’s so supportive. He’s the loveliest person I’ve ever met.”

Meanwhile, the band were forced to cancel a gig in Vienna after one of their production trucks was in an accident, which mean they weren’t able to “set up our staging and lights”.

The statement read: “Vienna, we are so sad to say that tonight’s show has had to be cancelled.

“Unfortunately one of our production trucks was in an accident earlier today which means we haven’t been able to set up our staging and lights.

“Thankfully no one was hurt but it means we aren’t able to put on the show for you.

“We are absolutely broken hearted as we were so excited to see you all. All tickets will be refunded, please contact your point of sale. The girls. x.”
