Jeff Brazier’s girlfriend admits it’s “challenging and overwhelming” raising Jade’s sons

It can be tough raising another person's children

Jeff Brazier’s girlfriend has spoken out about the pressures of helping to raise the late Jade Goody’s children.

Jade passed away in 2009 after losing her battle with cervical cancer, leaving Jeff as a single parent.

Jeff found love again two years ago, when he met Kate Dwyer.

It is rare to hear much from the family as Jeff has been careful to keep Bobby Jack, 13, and Freddie, 12, out of the media spotlight.

Kate has broken the silence by posting a sweet Instagram snap and opening up about raising Jade’s sons.

The post shows a drawing that one of the boys have done, depicting their superheroes.

On it they have named the two figures as their dad and Kate.

Kate wrote with the post: “I would be lying if I said that there isn’t occasions when living full time with someone else’s (teenage!) children is both challenging and overwhelming.

“But then one of them does something like this and it all makes sense.”

The two children were just four and five when Jade passed away, which is why Jeff decided to withdraw from a life in the public eye.

He has been a little more open with sharing pics of them now and there have been plenty that have commented about how Jade would be proud as to how they are growing up.

Jeff has revealed previously: “They understand fame well enough to know that I made them un-famous! It was quite amusing when Bobby first said that.

“It’s hard for them to quantify the immeasurable difference me keeping them in the magazines and on the TV over the last eight years would have had on their sense of reality and their ability to come to terms with their loss.

“Maybe it would of been fine for us to do so but I wasn’t willing to gamble on their childhoods.”

Speaking to Hello! about Kate, he added: “I feel like Kate is just everything that I could possibly want in a partner.

“She’s the first opinion that I want to ask, and she’s the first person that I want to tell my good news to and I just feel wonderfully grateful to have her.”
