Jason Donovan makes rare public appearance with his children

Family night out!

Jason Donovan has stepped out on the red carpet with two of his three children.

The Too Many Broken Hearts singer was accompanied by Jemma, 18, and Zac, 17, as he attended the Olivier Awards on Sunday night at The Royal Albert Hall.

At the event, the 49-year-old rolled back the years to perform Any Dream Will Do from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat – a theatre role he was famous for in the early nineties after leaving Neighbours.

Jason, looking dapper in a black tux and bow tie, proudly posed on the red carpet with his two eldest, who’d also put on their best dress for the occasion.

Zac emulated his father’s style with a bow tie and blue suit, while Jemma wore a black dress with nude heels and matching clutch.

Jason also has another daughter, Molly, seven, with his wife Angela Malloch.

Jason previously told the Daily Post  becoming a family man changed his life.

He said: “Being a dad is by far my favourite job. It’s difficult to maintain a balance between work and home, but I am lucky to have great kids and a wonderful wife. It makes it much easier. She’s a great mum and a strong person.”

He added that he’s always been honest with his children about things in his past he isn’t proud of, as he hopes they will learn from his mistakes.

He said: “Life is about making choices and they will have those opportunities themselves, so one just hopes they make the right choices in their lives and learn from my mistakes.”

In a separate interview with The Sunday Post, he admitted his youngest daughter is the biggest fan in the family of his hits.

“The older two view me as ‘that 80s dude’ and although they sometimes come to gigs, it’s usually me going to them for what to listen to,” he said.

“But Molly loves watching me perform Too Many Broken Hearts and really enjoys dancing to that at the end of a gig.”
