Not many people cross straight-talking Janet Street-Porter, but Loose Women host Ruth Langsford managed to insult her twice today!
Ruth and Janet were both on the Loose Women panel along with Coleen Nolan and Stacey Solomon today (6 February) but it was Janet who was the butt of most jokes.
Talk first turned to whether you should become more selfish as you get older and with 72-year-old Janet being the oldest on the panel, Ruth cheekily took aim at her.
As the women discussed the topic, Ruth accidentally said that Janet may only have “days” to live before confirming she meant to say “years”!
This Morning host Ruth, 58, also revealed the bizarre phenomenon of using a “death calculator” and managed to insult poor Janet again!
She said: “We’re actually very lucky to still have Janet with us…”
Janet then dryly jumped in with: “That is two insults today from the very lovely Ruth Langsford”.
Ruth then explained that, according to the data she had collected for the calculator, Janet’s predicted death date was supposed to be seven years ago – in 2012!
Janet did then manage to see the funny side and burst out laughing.

Janet also had the backing of fans today, who said she didn’t look her age.
One tweeted: “@loosewomen Whatever Janet Street Porter is doing it’s working. I would never of said she was 72!!”
