James Jordan has learnt there’s no pain, no gain ahead of the Dancing On Ice final.
The former Strictly star is tipped to win the ITV show after scoring highly throughout the series, including getting four tens from the judges last week.
But training so hard to get perfect scores hasn’t come without injury and the 40-year-old confessed to a particularly painful one this week at the hands (or rather foot!) of his professional partner Alex Schauman!
“Alex kicked me the other day. Her blades went in between my legs,” James told the Mirror.
Ouch!
The dancer, who is married to Strictly’s Ola Jordan, said the blow to his privates is far from the only injury he’s suffered throughout the series.
“I have lots of injuries but I’m not going to talk about them all. The physio said I am stiffer than an ironing board,” he revealed.

James isn’t the only finalist who has been suffering in the pursuit of DOI glory.
Love Island’s Wes Nelson also had a nasty accident on the ice this week, which resulted in a small bone popping out of his wrist.
However, neither James or Wes are going to let their niggles hold them back from giving their all in this evening’s final.
They will be competing against The X Factor’s Saara Aalto.
James said he can’t wait to perform and has been rehearsing Torvill and Dean’s iconic Boléro in case he makes it to the final two.
The Olympians will also take to the ice to perform in the finale of the latest series, while the previous contestants, including Gemma Collins, will be back for one more group routine.
Taking to Instagram, James said he’s loved being a part of DOI. The professional dancer has faced some criticism for having an advantage over the others due to his experience performing, but he said learning to ice dance has been the hardest thing he has ever done.
He wrote alongside a group picture with his fellow finalists: “So excited for the @dancingonice final tomorrow! I love everyone in this picture @alex_lukasz @hamishaman @saaraaalto @wes.nelson@vanessabauer_skates.
“It will be a great final and we are all winners. I’ve given it everything I’ve got and now there’s one last push. The hardest thing I’ve ever had to learn.”
