James ‘Arg’ Argent has stunned fans with his weight loss as he prepares to swim the English Channel.

Arg captioned the post: “In just over 3 weeks we will be swimming across the English Chanel & heading all the way to France in aid of @su2cuk @su2c.

“Some of us could not even swim a few meters when we first started but due to hard work & dedication we have gone from the swimming pool to the lake & now to sea swimming!”

He added: “We have lost people along the way but we are still a team through to the bitter end of this mammoth challenge!

“I’m losing weight and training twice a day to hopefully pass the assessment in order to take part! I’m giving it 110%.”

Fans were stunned by Arg’s slimmer bod and praised him for taking part.

One person said: “Good for you and well done on weight loss you should be proud!!”

Another wrote: “Amazing, well done arg,” while a third added: “Arg go you, you look amazing and you will smash this.”

Last week, the reality TV star shared a photo of himself and Love Island and Dancing On Ice star Wes next to a river.

Arg told fans: “I’ve never worked this hard or been so committed to anything in my life!

“@wes.nelson has been so supportive & has motivated me. In 1 month we are swimming across the channel & leading our team to France in aid of @su2cuk #SinkOrSwim @channel4.”

Last month, Arg hit back at critics as he announced he was taking part in the show.

Alongside a video of himself swimming laps, Arg said: “My grandad died of Prostate Cancer when I was in my teens, I’m doing this in honour of him & to raise awareness.

“It’s also a great chance for me to kickstart my healthy lifestyle & weight loss journey!

“I know most people will think I will fail & not do it but I will prove those doubters wrong just like I did with the Marathon.

“I won’t let myself or anyone down. I’m working so hard in order to pass the medical & assessment before I even take on this massive challenge.”
