Jake Quickenden often pays tribute to his late father on Instagram and now he’s gone a step further by getting a tattoo in his honour.
The Dancing On Ice champion shared his meaningful body art with his followers via his Stories.
Jake, 29, revealed he’s had the letter “P” etched onto his arm “for the old man” whose name was Paul.
Jake had to clarify it was P after one snap he shared made it look like a Q.
Speaking of the tattoo on another post, Jake wrote: “Today I had a P tattooed on me, now I carry my brother’s name and my Dad’s initial for Paul.. I like to think if they are etched on my skin then they can see what I see and that fills my heart with warmth!!”
His fans said it was a touching thing for him to do.
“That is lovely Jake…they are with you forever,” wrote one.
“Lovely idea Jake,” said another.
“That’s very thoughtful and very dedicated,” said a third.
Jake’s dad Paul sadly died of bone cancer in 2008. Not long after, Jake then lost his teenage brother, Oliver, to the disease.

He has previously spoken of how the double loss left him devastated.
He told The Sun: “They were just very, very unlucky. I struggled a lot, especially as [Oliver] was my little brother – he was 19 – and because I should be looking after him.
“I went into a downward spiral. I’m not talking about it because I want pity but I decided to talk about it to let people know you can come out of it and be alright.”
He said of the time following their deaths: “I did nothing, I laid on my mum’s sofa, not working or making money, and I was just going out and getting so drunk I couldn’t remember the night before.
“I’d lay in bed all day and be depressed. I didn’t want to burden my mum as she had just lost a son. I couldn’t talk to my mates, because everybody loses someone.”
Thankfully time has been a big healer for the singer and he’s been able to move on with the support of his family and friends.
His career has been going from strength to strength since he first appeared on The X Factor in 2014, followed by a successful stint on I’m A Celebrity.
He became a presenter and won more fans after winning Dancing on Ice earlier this year.
Singing remains his passion and he is heading out to L.A. to work on new music.
He shared the news alongside a snap of him and a friend in Barcelona writing: “Another successful trip away with @j1mmyhill next stop LA… but first got a busy few weeks work and starting on the album 🙌🏼🙌🏼… Work hard play Hard!!”
His fans were delighted with the news, with one saying they “couldn’t wait for the new album”.
Another said: “I want a tour can you hurry up and stop galavanting away please lol.”
Jake’s trip to L.A. comes straight after he enjoyed a holiday to Barcelona. He shared holiday snaps with his fans, showing him strolling along Las Ramblas and chilling by the pool.
Jake had been due to marry Danielle Fogarty this year it was reported in April that they had called off the wedding.
It was claimed Jake’s time on Dancing On Ice had put a strain on their romance and they decided to put off getting hitched.

Neither have commented on the alleged split, nor have they been pictured together for months.
Jake has recently been linked to Love Island’s Darylle Sargeant after they were spotted out together in Leeds.
