Jade Goody’s widower claims her dying wish for sons wasn’t realised

She had wanted to earn enough money to pay for their education

It’s hard to believe it’s been almost a decade since we lost Jade Goody to cervical cancer.

And as the sad anniversary approaches, the late reality star’s widower Jack Tweed has opened up about his ongoing sadness over her loss.

He has also spoken of how Jade’s dying wish for her to pay for her two sons to be educated privately was not fulfilled.

Jade did a series of lucrative interviews ahead of her death so she could provide the best life for her beloved boys, amassing a reported £1.8million, but most of this went to the taxman, as she had not paid income tax for four years.

Speaking in a new interview with The Sun, Jack said: “It would have broken Jade if she’d known. She’d be devastated.”

In 2013, The Sun claimed that her estate would not be able to afford school fees for the boys beyond that year.

“I don’t want to accuse anyone because I don’t know the full story but something doesn’t seem right. Something doesn’t add up.

“I probably should have been more involved with the money situation, seeing where it all went and making sure the kids got it and it didn’t get wasted by anyone,” Jack continued.

However Bobby, now 15, has continued in private education in Essex, while Freddie, 14, is at a state school because he couldn’t settle at his private school.

Since Jade’s death on Mother’s Day in 2009, they have been raised by their devoted dad, Jeff Brazier.

Jack has only spoken on rare occasions about Jade since her death in 2009. Last year, to mark the anniversary of her death aged just 27, he posted a series of pictures of his wife on Instagram.

He wrote in the caption: “Nine years ago today Jade left us. Not a day goes I don’t think of her smile 💙💙 #smeartest #cervicalcancer #rememberjade.”
