Jacqueline Jossa hits out at ‘bossy’ mums

EastEnders star said parents should do what works for them

Jacqueline Jossa has spoken out over mum-shaming on her Instagram Stories.

The former EastEnders actress, who is mum to Ella, nearly four, and seven-month-old Mia, admitted she’s sick of encountering “bossy” mums when she seeks parenting advice online.

She wrote: “I just found myself reading a mum forum on baby milk… some mums really are a bit too bossy. I get that people are asking for advice but OMG! ‘Never do this’, ‘don’t do that’.”

Jacqueline advised other mums to ignore what people think and do what is right for them and their baby.

“Every mum is different and we are all doing great,” she wrote. “So you do what works for you, and don’t let Susie on the forums get you down!”

She added: “Hell, I do things my way and it works and my friends with babies do things completely differently, it works. You do you mummas.”

Jacqueline, 26, who played Lauren Branning on Albert Square, often shares the highs and lows of motherhood with her Instagram followers, and on her vlog.

Most recently, she admitted she hasn’t been getting much sleep.

“Mia isn’t sleeping as well as she used too and my bed time is getting later and later!” she wrote beside a picture of herself wearing a T-shirt with the slogan “need a nap”.

Mia is Jacqueline’s second daughter with former TOWIE star Dan Osborne. The couple split for a brief time when she was pregnant last year but are now back on track.

Jacqueline has admitted their break up “needed to happen” to help their relationship, but she is disappointed it was so public.

She told Fabulous magazine: “Breaking up 100 per cent needed to happen for us, I just wish it hadn’t been so public, and I’m sad that it happened the way it did.”

She added: “I feel like we’ve come full circle and now I have my girls, my soulmate – everything’s fallen into place.”

The actress also admitted she’s feeling more body confident than ever after getting fit again following the birth of Mia, showing off her slim figure on the red carpet last month and in a bikini snap on Instagram.

She’s said she’s looking forward to the year ahead with her family, and has even hinted she could return to EastEnders.
