Saturday Night Takeaway will not air this weekend following Ant McPartlin’s arrest on suspicion of drink-driving.
A statement issued by ITV claims it was a “joint decision” between Saturday Night Takeaway bosses and Ant & Dec’s team to pull the show from the schedule on Saturday night.
It’s also been revealed that Ant is “seeking treatment” and will not appear in the final two episodes of the series, if they do air as planned.
“ITV has taken a joint decision with Ant and Dec’s team not to broadcast Saturday Night Takeaway this weekend,” read the statement.
“We will be reviewing options for the last two episodes of the series (March 31 and April 7) which would not feature Ant who is taking time off to seek treatment.
“We very much hope that he gets the help that he needs.”

A statement from Ant’ spokesperson on Monday afternoon read: “Ant has decided to go back into treatment and step down from his current TV commitments.
“He has spoken with Dec and ITV today and asked for time off for the foreseeable future.
“As such Saturday Night Takeaway will not be going ahead this Saturday.”
The TV presenter, 42, was involved in a collision with two other cars while he was driving his Mini in Richmond, West London and was arrested at around 4pm after failing a roadside breathalyser test.
A Metropolitan Police spokeswoman said that he was “taken to a south London police station for questioning and has since been released under investigation.”
Inquiries continue, added the spokesperson.
Scotland Yard had earlier released a statement regarding an incident on Lower Richmond Road, South West London just before 4pm.
“Police were called to Lower Richmond Road at 15:59hours following reports of a road traffic collision involving three vehicles. A number of individuals were treated at the scene for minor injuries only,” it reads.
“A child passenger from one of the cars has been taken to hospital for a check-up as a precaution.
“A 42-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drink-driving after failing a roadside breathalyser test.”
