Inside the Duchess of Cambridge’s 35th birthday celebrations today

What will the year hold for her?

The Duchess of Cambridge turns 35 today!

The gorgeous Kate Middleton wanted to make her birthday a low-key affair and was set to celebrate it privately with her husband and children at their country retreat.

The mother-of-two was reported to be spending the day with the Duke of Cambridge and children Prince George and Princess Charlotte at Anmer Hall in Norfolk.

She was also believed to be celebrating today with her parents, after they joined the Royal Family at church on Sunday, alongside her close friend Sophie Carter, who is Charlotte’s godmother.

The Queen, who had been ill for nearly a month, also attended, much to everyone’s obvious delight.

On Wednesday, the Duchess begins her official duties of 2017,  first heading to an Early Years Parenting Unit at the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families in north London.

The unit offers treatment for groups of parents with personality disorders, and their children, who are at risk of being taken into care.

Kate is also set to carry out a joint engagement with William on the same day, visiting a Child Bereavement UK Centre in Stratford, east London, to mark its first anniversary.

There’s a lot of talk about whether 2017 will be the year we see the Cambridges expand their brood.

Kate, who is one of three herself, is thought to be wanting to have a bigger family.

Little George, who turns four in July, will be starting school in September and, although no official statement has been made, it is thought he will attend Wetherby Pre-Preparatory School.

Princess Kate and Prince William also have Pippa’s wedding to look forward to in May, with George and Charlotte expected to act as page boy and flower girl.

Aw!
