Shappi Khorsandi might have been the first celebrity to be voted off the show, but that hasn’t stopped her from revealing all of the camp’s secrets.
In her first in-depth interview since leaving the jungle, Shappi has revealed that not only did bosses give her special food parcels, but they also cut a rant from Stanley Johnson about immigration.
Shappi also admitted that she thinks Jamie and Becky are the two who most want to win the show.
Talking to The Mirror, Shappi said: “It feels like I have been on another planet. It feels like I have been abducted by aliens and put in this strange planet and now I am in a slightly stranger planet, a plush Versace hotel. The contrast couldn’t be bigger.

“I am grateful for the experience but really and truly for me it was agony in some parts.
“All my clothes were wet and damp, Stanley had accidentally swapped towels so I think I had Stanley’s towel. All the towels were soaking, nothing dried.
“The trials were getting weirder and more complicated and I think there were other personalities in there that really wanted to win this.”
Shappi also revealed that a huge political debate, that took place between Stanly Johnson and Labour MSP Kezia Dugdale, got cut from the evening broadcast…
“Stanley did start talking about high population and immigration at one point and Kez was talking to him about it, but apart from Stanley, Kezia, Toff and myself, everybody steered well clear or any controversy in any shape or form.

“And if we talked about it, they put up an iron curtain. I get that, jez, it is I’m A Celebrity not Question Time.”
Shappi also admitted the show’s bosses helped her out at meal times… “I had meat and I was really, really physically sick, five times in one hour. It was horrible and then after that I asked for vegan food and they were very accommodating, it was fine.”
Being away from her family hit the 44-year-old comedian hard just before she got axed from camp – and she’s since admitted that she almost left.
“Two nights before I was voted I came close to walking. We all miss our kids and I was talking to Becky about when you miss your kids you have to ride the wave and be strong.
“But two nights before I left I sank under the wave and I lay in my hammock and I sobbed like a baby.
“I got out of my bed and cried and cried and cried and that was the point where I thought I won’t be upset if I am voted out first.
“The people I fell in love with were Jennie, Toff an Stanley, they are absolutely themselves and fun and funny. I would like to see one of them to win, but when asked I would say Jamie and Becky because they are the most focused on the finishing line.”
