Hunky reality veteran signs up to the most dangerous show on TV!

This fella is hoping he'll make it third time lucky without breaking his neck!

Jake Quickenden, can you remind us what it is you actually do again?

Singer? Presenter? Or are you just a professional reality TV star!

We only ask, following the news that the devilishly handsome songster is the latest celebrity to be announced as a contestant on TV’s most hazardous show, The Jump.

The perfectly-bodied hunk is set to join Josie Gibson (Big Brother), Lydia Bright (The Island), Vogue Williams and former footballer Robbie Fowler on the Austrian slopes when the super dangerous competition kicks off in the New Year.

Of course, as we all know, Jake is no stranger to reality telly.

He first appeared on The X Factor back in 2012, where he made it to judges’ houses along side eventual winner James Arthur.

He returned two years later to make it as far as week three of the live shows and lost out to Only The Young (er, remember them?).

No sooner had he crashed out of that show and I’m A Celebrity producers were on the blower, begging him to fly out to Australia to take part in the testicle-gobbling show – and ended up coming second to winner Carl Fogarty.

Now, the handsome hunk is hoping that his latest reality TV venture will see him finally be crowned victor of a show and ultimately help convince people to fall in love with him enough to fork out on one of his tunes in the future or to land him a more lucrative TV deal.

According to those close to the singer / presenter / reality star / all round good guy, Jake is looking forward to the challenge and isn’t worried in the slightest about ending up in hospital, like many of the series’ previous contestants.

“Jake is in prime physical condition and he loves a challenge,” a source told The Sun.

“He was delighted to be approached and quite literally jumped at the chance of taking part.

“Maybe by the end of the series he will have as many bumps and bruises as his future father-in-law Foggy.”

Other reality veterans set to appear on the popular show, hosted by Davina McCall, include Spencer Matthews, who crashed out of last year’s I’m A Celeb following a steroid scandal,  ex rugger bugger Gareth Thomas (Big Brother, Dancing On Ice) and, er, model Caprice (Celebrity Big Brother, Ladies of London, Splash!)

The Jump kicks off in the new year!
