Human Ken doll Rodrigo Alves pulls out of Celebrity Big Brother to have life-saving surgery

He needs the operation to help him breathe

| Updated:

One of the contestants lined up for Celebrity Big Brother next week has reportedly pulled out of the series at the last minute to have life-saving surgery.

Human Ken doll Rodrigo Alves had been rumoured to be appearing on the new series, which starts on Tuesday August 1, but according to OK! Online has had to drop out in order to focus on his health.

A source has told the website: “Roddy was supposed to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house in 2018, but then things got moved around and he was scheduled to join the next series starting in August.

“But now, he’s decided to go off around the world and party for a month and also get some more surgery on his nose which he has wanted for a very long time.”

The fashionista who is famous for his love of cosmetic surgery and his opulent lifestyle is currently celebrating his 34th birthday across 30 days with trips to Dubai, Las Vegas, Montreal, London, and Marbella.

However it would seem it’s not just a desire for more surgery that is driving this latest operation, but actually a health problem.

Speaking to OK! Online, Rodrigo revealed: “It’s my birthday month so I thought what better time that to have fun and catch up with all my good friends all around the globe.

“I’m also booked to have my nose done for the 10th time and my chin implant removed and replaced by a smaller size.”

Continuing to reveal the reason behind his decision, he said: “In actual fact, I will be undergoing very painful and risky surgery to try to correct my breathing.

“I don’t want to have another nose operation, but I have no choice.”

He also opened up about “suffering from anxiety” over the operation, which has led him to gain weight.

“I’ve been stuffing my face like crazy to compensate for the stress and worry and I’ve gained more weight than ever.

“All I want is to get this over and done with so I will have full use of my nose and be able to start training at the gym and eating right.

“I will then also be able to do more TV work and show off my fun, vivacious and caring personality which only my close friends and family have got to see so far.”

We hope the op is a success so we can see him in CBB 2018 as previously planned.
