Vinnie Jones swaps Hollywood for carpet fitting business with celebrity clients

His clients include Robbie Williams and Bradley Cooper...

Vinnie Jones has already gone through quite the career overhaul but this is the most random one yet!

In the 90s, the hard-man went from playing footie for Wimbledon, Leeds United, Sheffield United and Chelsea to becoming a Hollywood actor.

He is once again reinventing himself by branching out into a new direction and has decided to set up a carpet fitting business.

Yes, carpets..

The 51-year-old Snatch actor has partnered with his childhood bestie Danny Deacon to set up Deacon Jones, which already has Bradley Cooper and Robbie Williams as paying customers.

Their business is based in Hemel Hempstead, Herts, which is conveniently located next to his childhood home of Watford.

Vinnie ain’t muckin’ about. He wants to get properly stuck in and take a very hands-on role.

He told The Sun: “We have super tough carpets and that’s where we will use my hardman image.

“I’m very proud of my roots and I want to show that. It’s important to me to create jobs in the area. I want to give back to the community I came from.”

Aw Vin, you’re quite the softie aren’t ya!

Vinnie’s footballing career has definitely helped because he’s even supplied Manchester United boss José Mourinho with new carpets. Not forgetting cricketer Kevin Pietersen too!

His business partner Danny told Hemel Gazette that Vinnie is very down to earth.

“We were talking about life on the way back to the club and he just said “Let’s go into business, 50-50”, he explained.

“Vinnie’s just as you would expect, hard but fair, absolutely no-nonsense, but very generous.”

Hilariously, earlier this month the former footie defender was publicly told off for swearing TWICE on Soccer AM.

Vinnie was a guest on the Sky Sports show and within 10 minutes of appearing had already used expletives twice.

“It’s so hard to talk and not swear isn’t it?” Jones said.

Yeah for you it is! The carpet business is a much better fit…
