Home and Away actress’s sister dies three days after tragic crash that killed parents

Annabelle Falkholt was 21

The younger sister of Home and Away actress Jessica Falkholt has passed away three days after the car crash that also killed their parents.

Annabelle, 21, died in the intensive care unit at Liverpool Hospital in Sydney on Friday morning, as Jessica, 28, continues to fight for her life.

A family member told Daily Mail Australia: “Annabelle passed away this morning, we knew what was happening so family were with her.

“She and Jessica had such a strong sister bond. They are seriously close sisters.

“I feel Jessica would have known her sister has passed.

The horrific crash occurred on Boxing Day, as the family suffered a head-on collision with another car on Princes Highway at Mondayong on the New South Wales coast.

The girls’ mum and dad, Vivian and Lars Falkholt, 60 and 69, respectively, were killed in the head-on collision at approximately 10.45am on Tuesday morning.

According to 9 News, the sisters were airlifted to Liverpool and St George Hospitals.

Further news.com.au reports that Jessica and Annabelle were pulled from the wreckage by passers-by and police.

The driver of the second vehicle, Craig Antony Whitall, 50, also lost his life on Tuesday.

Jessica played Hope Morrison in the Australian soap last year.
