Hollywood stars who married their biggest fans

This group of celebrities made a fans wish come true...

Dreaming about marrying your favourite celebrity is a pretty normal thing to do, but rarely do you get the chance to make this a reality.

In Hollywood, most stars just marry other stars. The idea of a fan developing a relationship with their celebrity crush seems like an impossible fairytale, but believe it or not, this isn't always the case.

Here are some of Hollywood's biggest stars who made a fans dream a reality by marrying them.

Matt Damon & Luciana Borrosso

Most of Matt Damon's ex-girlfriends have been very "Hollywood," to say the least.

But this changed when the actor was stationed in Miami back in 2003. While filming Stuck On You, an Argentinian bartender named Luciana helped Matt escape from a group of mobbing fans.

Matt decided to continue seeing the bartender, who was a big fan of the Entourage actor. Two years after meeting, the pair ignored the cruel criticism sent their way and ended up marrying in 2005.

In 2013, they renewed their vowels in St. Lucia. Matt and Luciana now have four children together, one of which was from a previous relationship of Luciana's, and was subsequently adopted by Matt.

John Travolta & Kelly Preston

In 1991, John Travolta married one of his biggest fans, Kelly Preston.

We're always told to follow our dreams, and Kelly did just that. When commenting on her idol John, she said: "I came out of a film, saw the poster for Grease and I knew I'd be with him. I just knew. I was about 16 years old. I really knew and it turned into, 'I'm going to marry that man'" - 13 years later, Kelly's dream became a reality.

The two have been married for 25 years and have had three children together. This was a true and incredible story of a celebrity marrying their biggest fan.

Christian Bale & Sibi Blazic

Christian Bale is one actor that everyone seems to love, and luckily for Sibi Blazic, he ended up loving her back.

Sibi was the personal assistant of Winona Ryder, one of Christian's co-stars and she was a self proclaimed HUGE Christian Bale fan. Winona introduced Sibi to Christian and only two months after they were formally introduced, they were jetting off to Vegas to get married!

Things have certainly changed since the pair tied the knot - Sibi has given up being a personal assistant to become a...stunt driver.

Christian and Sibi have worked on films like "The Dark Night" together and have been married for over 16 years.

Conan O'Brien & Liza Powel

American Talk show host Conan O'Brien married Liza Powel after spotting her in the audience of one his shows.

When Liza first visited the set of Late Night with Conan O'Brien, she was simply tasked with overlooking an advertisement skit for the company.

When Conan spotted her in the audience, he knew right away she was the one and didn't waste any time asking her out.

Just 18 months after seeing Liza's face in the audience, Conan married her. The couple have been married 14 years and have two children together.

Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes

Like many other girls, Katie Holmes grew up a massive Tom Cruise fan.

As a teenager in 1998, Katie was given the role as Joey Potter in TV series Dawson's Creek and as a result of the shows success, Katie got to meet her idol, Tom, where the pair connected straight away.

Tom and Katie ended up dating and in 2005, the couple who were dubbed "TomKat" by the media, announced they were expecting a child. In 2006, their daughter Suri was born and the happy couple ended up getting married.

In 2012, the couple sadly parted ways and  got a divorce. The official reason was never revealed, but the rumours were that Tom's association with the Church of Scientology was just too much for Katie to handle.

Nicholas Cage & Alice Kim

In 2004, Nicholas Cage met waitress, Alice Kim, at a restaurant she was serving at.

At the end of the night, Kim asked for an autograph and ended up getting a phone number, too. That same year the two wasted no time and ended up getting married at a private ranch in California.

The following year Alice gave birth to their son, Kal-El (named after Superman) and Nicholas and Alice ended up happily married for 10 years up until January 2016, where they unfortunately split up.

Elvis Presley & Priscilla Wagner

Elvis met Priscilla in 1959 during a party at his home in Germany while he was serving in the army.

When the two met, they both fawned over each other and Presley ended up playing music for Priscilla in an attempt to win her affection. Elvis received a lot of negative press because she was only 14 and still at school.

Priscilla's parents were originally angered by Elvis and insisted the 14-year-old would never get the chance to meet her idol again. Eight years later, when Priscilla was 22, she married the King of Rock and Roll.

Patrick Dempsey & Jillian Fink

Patrick Dempsey and Jillian Fink met each other after he booked an appointment at the barber shop she worked at.

When Jillian seen the booking she was convinced her colleagues were playing a prank as she was a huge fan of the A-list actor, but she was wrong. When Patrick turned up for a trim the pair clicked straight away.

In 1999, Patrick and Jillian got married and now have three children together. Jillian still cuts the American actor's hair, now as both his stylist and wife.

That must of been one good haircut...

Jessica Alba & Cash Warren

Hollywood actor Jessica Alba met Cash Warren, a production assistant, while filming Fantastic Four, in 2004.

Cash was a huge admirer of Alba and her work, from her 90's films to her television series Dark Angel. The two reportedly hit it off and had an instant attraction for each other as soon as their paths crossed on set.

Cash and Jessica ended up getting together and married in 2008. They also have two daughters together, Honor and Haven.

Reese Witherspoon & Jim Toth

You should always hope that your other half advocates for you, but when it comes to the marriage of American actress Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth, it's literally his job!

Jim works at the agency that promotes Reese and the pair fell in love after only a few interactions, resulting in them beginning to see each other outside of work.

In 2011, Reese and Jim got married privately in a wedding that apparently only lasted 20 minutes. The happy couple also have one child together.
