Ryan Knight’s desperate bid to win back Amy Barnes on Hollyoaks

Bit of a strong reaction to getting rejected!

Ryan Knight returns to Hollyoaks next week determined to win back ex-fiancée Amy Barnes.

But after he cheated on her, will she be in a forgiving mood?

The week starts off a bit strangely for Amy, who’s been struggling with her own emotions, not to mention her kids Leah and Lucas acting up, since Ryan left to visit his mum in Canada.

Weird things keep happening – wedding flowers she was sure she’d cancelled turn up, and then replies to invitations start arriving.

Baffled, it all becomes clear when Ryan turns up on her doorstep and reveals he’s re-booked their wedding!

He proposes to her again – watched on by an irritated Ste Hay, who doesn’t want Daddy Ry-Ry muscling in on his children.

Ryan tries to convince Amy he left her a voicemail before he went away, but as sneaky Ste heard and deleted it before she could see it, Amy finds it hard to believe her former fella’s telling the truth – especially after all the lies he’s told her previously.

It all went badly wrong for Ryan when Amy found out he’d cheated on her with Mercedes McQueen. Despite his best efforts to prove the night meant nothing to him, Amy just couldn’t find it in her to forgive him.

Desperate to win her over now she’s had some time and space, Ryan turns to the kids, and then to Ste, for help with getting Amy back.

But will Ste really agree to help his old adversary? Or will he take the opportunity to get rid of Ryan for good?

Even if Amy does accept Ryan’s proposal and they start playing happy families again, we know it won’t be for long – Amy is set to die very soon.

It was rumoured that Ste could be responsible – he’s been violent to her before and now he suffers from blackouts caused by his brain damage (thanks to his drug abuse), he might not even know what he’s done.

But now Ryan’s back on the scene, could it be that he kills Amy out of frustration when she rejects him?

Might he take the ultimate revenge – if he can’t have her, he has to make sure no one else can?

We’ve seen he’s got a dark side, but just how bad is he capable of going?
