Hollyoaks star Jennifer Metcalfe has shared the first image of her baby boy on social media.
Although we can’t see the tot’s face, we can see his tiny little feet as Jen’s partner, Greg Lake, holds on of them. So cute!
She captioned the photo: “My boys” with two blue heart emojis and it wasn’t long before she was flooded with messages of “congratulations” from her fans.
One said: “Awwww yay @missjenjomet congratulations!!! Boys are so much fun to have around xx”
While another added: “Awww congratulations 💙💙 boys r the best!! I have two xx [sic]”
And Jen’s former on-screen brother, James Sutton (John Paul McQueen) commented: “Oh my god!!! I’m so bloody happy for you both!! Xxxxx”
Greg posted a similar picture – at a more close up angle on his own Instagram.
He captioned his: “Amazing first FULL day out with the family #2weeks4days.”
Jen gave birth to their son on Tuesday 21 June and has barely been active on social media since.
But yesterday she posted a snap of her and Greg enjoying a date.
Although there was no sign of their little one, who’s probably being kept under wraps until it’s time for his big reveal, the pair looked happy and relaxed as they enjoyed a meal together.
She captioned the image: “Gorg meal @thealchemistuk with my ❤️ @greglake excellent menu, drinks and service! Must visit.”
Fans were quick to comment on how well she looked, with one saying: “You are looking amazing, hot mama.”
Another added: “Jen, you look phenomenal for a woman who just had a baby. So pleased for you and Greg. You look so happy.”
“Congratulations you both deserve a night out,” added a third.
It certainly seems like the new parents are settling into life with a baby in the house.
Greg recently shared a photo to his Instagram page of sterilising bottles. He captioned the image: “I used to have a life,” alongside a crying with laughter emoji.
While fans rushed to comment that his new life was much better now he has a little one in it, even Jen’s former Hollyoaks colleagues got in on the act.
Matt Littler, who played Max Cunningham on the soap commented: “Maaaaaaate, this is the bit when they NEED you…without you being an absolute superhero they will expire! Enjoy being a superhero!”
And Alfie Browne-Sykes, who was Jason Roscoe on the show until last year, added a series of crying with laughter emojis and the comment: “You’re only a week in….. good luck pal.”
The joys of parenthood, eh?!
Jen gave birth in soaring temperatures that reached 30 degrees in some places – big respect to her.
A rep for the actress said: “We are delighted to announce that our client Jennifer Metcalfe and partner Greg Lake welcomed a baby boy into the world yesterday.
“Mother and baby are doing fine.”
It certainly looks like they are as she and Greg embrace life as a family of three. Now we just want a full face pic and a name, please!
