In a statement, Holly wrote: “After much consideration, I have made the decision to step away from Truly.”

She continued: “To launch a brand needs total dedication and at the moment, with so many other commitments, this is not something I feel I can do without it starting to affect my family time at home.

“I wish Truly all the success for the future.”

Holly has three children with TV producer Dan Baldwin, who she met while working with him on the CITV series Ministry Of Mayhem.

The couple have two sons, nine-year-old Harry and three-year-old Chester and daughter Belle, seven.

Truly had been due to launch this autumn. Its website describes its range of goods as “beautiful things that are of the highest quality, surprisingly affordable and designed to make your life easier”.

It was set to cover everything from home and interiors to babies, living, fashion, wellness and travel.

Holly previously told The Guardian the inspiration for Truly came from the recent success of her baby books, and will also feature a charitable arm and discussion forum.

The mum-of-three said: “For me, being a woman, it’s nice to have a space where you can have that honest, open conversation that isn’t too militant or frightening or one-way. It’s going to be very open and welcoming.”
