Holly Willoughby ‘gets HUGE pay rise from This Morning’

The six-figure increase matches co-host Phil Schofield’s salary

Holly Willoughby has been given a massive pay rise to match her presenting partner Phillip Schofield’s salary, according to reports.

It’s been said that Holly, 36, has been awarded £200K and will now earn the exact same as Phil, 55, for hosting ITV’s This Morning.

The pair have worked together for 11 years and will soon host the brand new series of Dancing On Ice – where they will be receiving the same fee also.

It’s believed that TV bosses decided to increase Holly’s salary after realising the duo were receiving the same £200K fee for the skating show but not for This Morning.

A source told the Mirror: “It seemed ridiculous they were going to get paid the same fee for Dancing on Ice but Holly was lagging behind on This Morning.

“Quite rightly, that has now been rectified and they both earn exactly the same.”

It was previously said that the mum-of-three was earning £400,000 for her role on the daytime show while Phil was getting a whopping £600K.

This comes after the huge pay gap between men and women at the BBC emerged last month.

It was revealed that the highest earner was DJ Chris Evans who was raking in an eye-watering £2 million.

But only one third of the list of talent earning over £150,000 were women, with the top names being men.

It was revealed that BBC’s biggest earning female presenter is Claudia Winkleman, who earns up to £500K.

Now more than 40 female presenters have written to BBC boss Lord Hall demanding that men and women are put on the same level of pay immediately.

Meanwhile much-loved presenters Holly and Phil will be returning to the This Morning sofa September 5 after enjoying a well-deserved summer break.

The two went off on their holidays at the end of last month and wife and husband duo Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes took over presenting duties.

Despite not having to work together for six weeks Holly and Phil still enjoyed each other’s company away from work as they soaked up the sun on a break away in Portugal with their partners and TV pal Bradley Walsh.

Phil shared a series of hilarious videos of himself, Holly and Bradley all enjoying a boozy night in the Algarve.

From what we could see, the stars of daytime were seated around the table with their mates and partners with big glasses of wine to hand as a tray of shots was passed around between them.

In the background someone could be heard shouting out something about the “whole bottle” to which Bradley replies, “That’s for me. That’s great, that is sensational.”

Phillip then focused his phone on his wife who said she was “on it”.

But as the tray got circulated around the table, there was a spillage – thanks to Holly!

The pair are also set to host the new series of Dancing On Ice – which is due to air on ITV early next year.

A source told The Sun: “It’s a massive coup for ITV to have Holly and Phil back on board. Producers love the idea of going back to the original line-up and they’re both really excited to return to their roots.”
