Hero Rylan reveals he saved his This Morning co-host Sarah Greene from drowning

Wow! Rylan is like a real life superman

Rylan Clark-Neal is many things.

A so-so singer.

A great wit.

And an engaging and brilliant presenter.

But now he has added a new talent to his CV – that of hero!

Yes, the lanky Essex boy has saved a life – without even realising he had done so.

Today on This Morning, he was joined by co-host Sarah Greene and revealed that she owed him for her life.

“I actually, get a hold of this papers, saved Sarah Greene’s life last night, didn’t I?” Rylan, 28, announced modestly.

Taking over the story the 58-year-old former Saturday kids’ show host, who is one of a number of presenters standing for Phillip and Holly while they are on their hols, explained that a chance text from her toothy sidekick saved her from drowning.

“I was having a bath quite late last night and I fell fast asleep,” she recalled.

“I suddenly heard my phone and a text message had come through and it woke me up with a start.

“I thought, ‘Oh my goodness, I was about to go under the water!’

“I kept out of the water to see who it was and it was Rylan saying, ‘Are you awake darling?'”

She added: “Yes, I was awake, and only just alive, thanks to you!”
