Heart Radio’s Toby Anstis has ‘had conversations’ with Dancing On Ice bosses about joining the show

Skates are at the ready

Toby Anstis, famous for presenting on Heart Radio, could be joining the star-studded cast of the next series of Dancing On Ice.

Toby started his career as a television presenter and became known in the 90s after being on a children’s show called The Broom Cupboard. He is now expected to make his TV comeback in Dancing On Ice which is being re-vamped.

A source told The Sun Online that the show’s bosses are in talks with Toby about appearing on the show. They said: “They have been in contact with Toby and they’ve had conversations about him joining the show, but it’s early days.”

Toby hasn’t been on television in over a decade, as his last telly appearance was in 2006 on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! and he has since been focusing on his popular morning show on Heart Radio, which he presents Monday to Friday.

Fans of Dancing on Ice are excited for its return to our screens as it has been on a three year break! Yes it’s actually been three years since we last watched Dancing On Ice, can you believe it? It’s set to make its comeback sometime between the end of this year and early next year, and we can’t wait.

There are rumours that Katie Price has also been approached by the show’s bosses, as a source told The Sun: “Katie is speaking to ITV at the moment about going on Dancing On Ice. They’re interested and she seems keen too.

“ITV know Katie is popular with their audience and would bring plenty of drama to the show. The conversations are happening but obviously it’s still very early and they are talking to lots of people.”

It’s also been revealed that comedian Stephen Bailey could be skating across the ice too. A source told The Sun Online: “Stephen caught the eyes of the ITV bosses with his brilliant sense of humour.

“They think he could bring a different vibe to the show and would make excellent TV. The audience love when there is banter with the judges and Stephen would have them in hysterics.” Sounds like it would be a great idea to have him on the show.
