Harry and Meghan’s official wedding photos released

Kensington Palace shares three formal images from the big day

| Updated:

The new Duke and Duchess of Sussex have released three official photographs from their wedding day.

Sharing the images on their Twitter feed, Kensington Palace revealed that the formal images were taken by photographer Alexi Lubomirski, who also took Prince Harry and Meghan’s official engagement photos.

Beside the image of the bride and groom surrounded by their family, page boys and flower girls, they wrote: “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have released three official photographs from their Wedding day.

“These photographs were taken by photographer Alexi Lubomirski at Windsor Castle, following the carriage procession.

The first picture shows Meghan with her exquisite veil, designed by Clare Waight Keller, draped around her body and spread out on the floor in front of her.

To her left is her mum, Doria Ragland, her only immediate family member in the picture.

Beside Doria stands the Duke Of Cambridge, whose wife, Kate, sits in front of him with their daughter, Princess Charlotte on her lap. Their son, Prince George, sits beside her along with the other page boys and flower girls, who are the newly-weds’ godchildren.

Standing on the other side beside Harry is Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, with the Queen and Prince Phillip sat in front of them, and more of the page boys and flower girls surrounding them.

The second image shows the happy couple beaming with their page boys and flower girls around them in the Green Drawing Room of Windsor Castle.

Meghan, 36, sits on the floor with Prince Harry kneeling beside her so he is the same height as the youngsters.

Princess Charlotte and Prince George pull big grins for the photographer.

In the final snap, the newly-weds sit together on the steps of the castle looking happy and relaxed.

Meghan is now without her veil which means her diamond tiara, which once belonged to the Queen’s grandmother Queen Mary, can be seen more clearly in all it’s glory.

Kensington Palace captioned the black and white image with the following message: “The Duke and Duchess would like to thank everyone who took part in the celebrations of their Wedding.

“They feel so lucky to have been able to share their day with all those gathered in Windsor and those who watched on television across the UK, Commonwealth, and around the world.”
