Happy Days star Erin Moran, who plays Joanie Cunningham, has died aged 56.
Erin also starred in the spin-off from the hit sitcom, Joanie Loves Chachi, alongside co-star Scott Baio.
While the cause of her death is currently unknown, TMZ reports that she was found “unresponsive” on Saturday in Indiana.
A statement was released by police to E! News, which read: “On April 22, 2017, at approximately 4.07pm, The Harrison County Sherriff’s Department received a 911 call that referenced an unresponsive female.
“Upon arrival of first responders, it was determined that Erin Marie Moran Fleischmann was deceased and an autopsy is pending.”
Happy Days ran from 1974 until 1983 and it depicted life in the mid-1950s to 1960s.
Erin starred as Hollywood director Ron Howard’s little sister in the iconic show. She was just 14-years-old at the time she was cast.
Ron was one of the first to post a tribute to Twitter: “Such sad sad news” he wrote.

He wrote: “OH Erin… now you will finally have the peace you wanted so badly here on earth”.

Erin had reportedly fallen on hard times in recent years after she and her husband were allegedly kicked out of the trailer park home because of their hard-partying ways.
As well as Happy Days, Erin starred in Murder, She Wrote, The Love Boat and The Bold and the Beautiful. Her most recent TV appearance was on VH1’s Celebrity Fit Club in 2008.
