Dancing With the Stars fans know her as a judge who previously wowed viewers with her moves as a performer on the TV show.
But many moons ago Julianne Hough was an extra on the set of a Harry Potter movie.
And on Monday – to mark the 20th anniversary of the publication of the children’s classic – she shared a couple of photos of her in the film.
The 28-year-old shared the pictures with her Instagram followers, writing: “Happy 20th Anniversary Harry Potter!
“Remember that one time when I was 11 and a Gryffindor? Oh and apparently liked flirting with the Weasley twins?”
I remember there was a Great Hall scene where we were eating breakfast, and...I ate like seven or eight full English breakfasts because I didn’t realize that you kind of just fake it...
It’s not the first time the dancer has spoken out about being an extra in a Harry Potter film.
In fact in December both she and her brother Derek Hough told PEOPLE that they were both extras on the set of the 2001 movie, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.
Hough said: “My greatest memory of that experience was that this was the first kind of set that I’d ever worked on for film or television or anything, and I remember there was a Great Hall scene where we were eating breakfast.
"And I remember I ate like seven or eight full English breakfasts because I didn’t realize that you kind of just fake it and maybe take a little bit of a bite.”
She added: “And each take, I’d eat the whole thing!
“I was like, ‘There has to be continuity!’ – even at 10-years-old I was thinking that.
“Anyway, it was the worst – I remember being so sick.”
Hough also revealed that she had a crush the on the lead actor – Daniel Radcliffe who played Harry Potter. And she couldn’t resist trying to get a message to then child star.
She said: “I gave him a love note and a Beanie Baby for Valentine’s Day.
“I didn’t personally give it to him because I was just an extra, but I gave it to his assistant or PA that was working with him.”
It’s not clear if the British actor got Hough’s note though.
She said: “I don’t know if he ever got it, but Daniel: I just want to know if you got it! Come on! I just wanna know if you got it!”
Hough’s brother Derek also had fun working on the Harry Potter film.
But the 32-year-old admitted that they were a little naughty at times. He said: “We were there for two months filming, and we would always get in trouble.”
That included stealing props from the set – in particular from one of the houses of the fictitious Hogwarts School.
He said: “I was in Ravenclaw – I stole the robe, the tie, the scarf, and I stole cutlery from the Great Hall. I was like, ‘I’m taking this!’
“It was a big no-no; it was a big thing. And I was like, ‘I’m taking a chance.’
“It was funny because we knew those movies were gonna be such a big deal.”
