Gemma Atkinson has revealed her delight after boyfriend Gorka Marquez surprised her in the most romantic way.
Over the weekend, the soap actress spoke of how much she was missing the professional dancer, who was away performing on a cruise of the Med with some of his fellow Strictly stars.
On Sunday, Gemma was amazed when Gorka turned up on her doorstep for a surprise visit.
Sharing a loved-up snap of them reunited on her Instagram account, she wrote: “He flew to Manchester from Madrid for just 17hrs to surprise me! @gorka_marquez“
Her fans were also touched by Gorka’s romantic gesture and more than 800 commented to say what a lovely couple they make.
“He’s a keeper,” more than one told Gemma.
“Marry him!” said another, as a third agreed, writing: “Please just get married.”
Others wrote that Gorka’s surprise was “so sweet” and “such a romantic thing to do”.
“That’s love for you,” another of Gemma’s followers pointed out, while someone else said it had made them cry.
Gorka also shared a picture of him with Gemma with his Instagram followers, writing: “Life is made by the choices we make… I’m happy I chose to be beside you.”
The pair met last summer when Gemma was a contestant on Strictly.
They both made it to the final with their respective partners – Gemma dancing with Aljaž Škorjanec and Gorka with singer Alexandra Burke.

They kept their romance under wraps until after the Strictly live tour but since then have shared numerous snaps of their lives together with fans on Instagram.
Gemma, 33, wrote on Friday how they had barely been apart since they got together, so she was missing him loads while he was working away on a cruise.
“Cheesy post alert!!!!!” she wrote. “A week today and I’m reunited with @gorka_marquez . It’ll be 19 days we’ve had apart in total which is nothing looking at the bigger picture, but since we met last Aug we’ve never had more than 5 days apart so for us it’s a big deal.

“I’ve always been good on my own but I’m Great when he’s around so I’m counting down the days like I did as a kid at Christmas. I feel so lucky to have someone who I miss when we’re apart and someone who makes me feel so excited about seeing them again. They always say the right one isn’t the one you can live with, it’s the one you can’t live without.”
