Strictly Come Dancing’s Gorka Marquez pulled off the perfect romantic surprise for girlfriend Gemma Atkinson over the weekend.
The professional dancer whisked a thrilled Gemma off on holiday for a few days of sun, sand and sea – without her even knowing he’d planned it!
Proving he’s both an ol’ romantic and a dab hand at keeping secrets, Gorka arranged a holiday to Ibiza for him and Gemma, waiting until the last minute to surprise her. Aww!

A stunned Gemma took to Instagram on Sunday to thank her other half for being so amazing, telling fans she’d had no idea the holiday was even on the cards!
She posted a beautiful photo of them enjoying the views alongside a heartfelt message about her dancer beau.
Gemma wrote: “He told me not to make plans this weekend because he had a surprise… We flew to Ibiza and hung out for two days eating amazing food, hiking, bike riding & swimming.”
She added: “Basically everything that I love, and that’s why I love him ❤ Thanks Gorka for a bloody brilliant weekend.”
Her fans were quick to brand Gorka a “keeper” with one saying: “Perfect man if only we all had one x.”
Another wrote, “Awwww amazing! Boyfriends around the world take note!”, while a third joked: “Hey do you loan him out for weekends ? You two make a beautiful couple X.”
Gorka, meanwhile, shared his own message about the holiday to Instagram, making fans’ hearts melt by saying: “With you anywhere and any time is a perfect place…♥️.”
He added: “Thanks for the awesome weekend @glouiseatkinson.”

The couple both posted various photos to Instagram Stories as well, showing them hiking, bike riding and sunbathing.
Gorka also revealed that Gemma had made him watch the England v Sweden World Cup game with her, to which she jokingly replied: “Damn right!”

The loved up couple met on the last series of Strictly Come Dancing, where Gorka was a pro and Gemma a contestant.
Although they weren’t paired together, a close friendship soon developed, which blossomed to romance during the Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour earlier this year.
