GMB’s Richard Arnold suffers hilarious gaffe on live TV

We've never seen him look so panicked!

Richard Arnold was so keen to interview Kevin Bacon that he walked right on set behind Charlotte Hawkins’ news segment on today’s Good Morning Britain.

The presenter strolled behind her with a script in his hand, as she delivered a very serious election report.

Oops! It is Friday, however, so we’ll let him off.

Richard’s face said it all, and he quickly ran off when he realised she was still live.

Thank Goodness that Charlotte saw the funny side, as she said: “Slightly put off there by a certain somebody walking through the back of my shot in the middle of the headlines!”

The show posted a clip of the incident happening to their Twitter feed.

The entertainment reporter was forced to apologise later on: “Apologies – 20 years and I’ve never done that!”.

Host Ben Shephard was laughing too, and said: “You know if you’re walking in the back of someone’s shot, you’ve got to own it – don’t just panic and look at the camera!”

Richard replied: “I was pulling focus, I was pulling focus! I do apologise to anyone who was interested in watching the news, but we’ve got Kevin Bacon coming on.”

Ben later tweeted that it was one of his favourite moments on TV!

Richard tweeted that this was a blooper that will “never get old”, to which Ben replied: “Never ever ever ever”.

Other users had to share their thoughts on the moment they saw it!

“I kid you not, I spat my coffee out this morning when I saw this, his wee face!! LMAO. #GMB”, said one amused fan.
