GMB viewers thrilled to have Piers Morgan back on the show

The presenter has returned to the show after taking time off last week

Piers Morgan is finally back on Good Morning Britain and some viewers couldn’t be happier about his return.

But it’s a mixed bag as others are not so thrilled to see him back.

The 52-year-old enjoyed time off for Easter last week as he jetted to the States, and viewers saw presenter Eamonn Holmes take over hosting duties for four days.

Now back in the hot seat it wasn’t long before controversial Piers sent fans into a meltdown on Twitter.

As the presenter returned to the show one viewer wrote: “@piersmorgan @susannareid100 Welcome back! I missed the King and Queen of Breakfast TV #GMB @GMB.”

Another added: “Great to have @susannareid100 and @piersmorgan back @GMB #gmb.”

However it seems others definitely didn’t want him to return to the show.

A viewer ranted: “Why is @piersmorgan on my tv? He’s far too loud for any normal person in the mornings. #GMB.”

“Piers Morgan is the worst. #gmb,” added another.

A third said: “#Piersmorgan just talks over the top of everybody including @susannareid100 on @GMB #GMB.”

Last week Eamonn was a very busy boy as not only did he host GMB alongside co-presenter Kate Garraway, but he then hot-footed it over to the This Morning studios to present that with his wife Ruth Langsford.

He completely won over fans as he returned to the ITV breakfast show some 12 years after last working in that slot.

After just one day on the early morning talk show fans were calling for Eamonn, 57, to stay permanently.

One fan wrote on Twitter: “Dear @ITV please give @EamonnHolmes a permanent job on Good Morning Britain he’s fantastic #GMB.”

“Can we dump @piersmorgan and keep @EamonnHolmes please please please!! #GMB,” another added.

Not sure Piers would be a fan of that!
