After she was saved from elimination on Strictly Come Dancing, Ashley Roberts was apparently comforted by professional dancer Giovanni Pernice with an off-camera kiss on the cheek.
According to a source at The Mirror, Giovanni, 28, gave Ashley, 37, a ‘lingering’ peck on the cheek after she was saved by the judges on Sunday night’s show.
The source claimed: “Giovanni didn’t hesitate to go over to Ashley once the cameras stopped rolling.
“He passionately embraced her and gave her a lingering kiss on the cheek.
“They then separated to speak to other couples on the dance floor.”
ED! has contacted representatives for Ashley and Giovanni for comment.
It comes after Ashley and Giovanni were previously linked to each other. They have met up outside of the show, however Ashley has said they are just “friends”.
Earlier this month, she told Fabulous magazine: “We’ve gone out for drinks. He’s a lovely guy, but we are not dating.”
She added: “I’m so focused on the show right now, and really that’s where I want my focus to be. What happens after that, I don’t know. The right guy will come along at the right time. I believe in that.”
While former Pussy Cat Doll Ashley is partnered with Pasha Kovalev this year, Giovanni is dancing with Steps’ Faye Tozer.
Giovanni has already had a romance with a Strictly Come Dancing celebrity.
In 2015 he began dating Coronation Street actress Georgia Maye Foote after they were partnered on the show. But they parted ways in August 2016.
Most recently, the Italian dancer had a relationship with The Only Way Is Essex star Jess Wright. However, they split in April.

Ashley voiced her relief at being able to stay in the competition at the weekend.
Meanwhile, Giovanni has been singing Faye’s praises after they made it through another week.
