Giovanni Pernice has broken his silence on rumours he’s dating again following his split from Maura Higgins.
The Strictly Come Dancing pro, 31, was at the centre of reports that he had fallen “head over heels” for Made in Chelsea star Verity Bowditch.
However, Giovanni has since taken to Instagram to insist it’s “news to him” that he’s dating someone.

In a message on his Instagram Stories, the Italian dancer said: “Happy Sunday beautiful people. Always wanting to speak the truth over here.

“It’s news to me that I am dating. Didn’t know anything about it lol.
“At the moment as you all know it’s all about dance, dance, dance which is wonderful daaaaarling.” [Sic]
He added: “That’s the reality, no drama here. Have a great day – “THE SUN” is shining! Gio x.”
The dancer had been linked with reality TV star Verity, with a source claiming they had “several secret meetings”.
The insider told The Sun: “Giovanni has fallen head over heels for Verity.
“They are smitten. He’s been training really hard, but has made time for her.
“They’re very sweet together.”
Meanwhile, it came after Giovanni apparently split from Love Island star Maura Higgins in October.
Reports and fans of the pair had claimed they removed images of one another on their Instagram accounts.
However, at the end of last month, reports said Maura was hoping to win back Giovanni after this year’s series of Strictly.
However, the feeling isn’t apparently mutal.

A source told OK! Magazine: “Even when Strictly is over, there’s no way back for them. Secretly, Maura probably hopes that they could try. But Giovanni is done.”
