Gilmore Girls fans are in TEARS over the finale

It's OK, we've only had to wait NINE years

The anticipation for the final four words of Gilmore Girls has been immense.

Now fans have finally heard those mythical words but they aren’t all happy about it.

It has been a particularly long wait because the show’s creator Amy Sherman-Palladino left due to contract disputes when the show was still on TV so never got to write the final episode.

Now the show is back and Amy has realised her vision but fans took to Twitter to vent their frustration about waiting so long for an unsatisfying ending.

“Ok what the heck my dudes. I haven’t slept in 24 hours to watch the #GilmoreGirlsRevival and that’s how you end it? We need another?” said one fan.

They don’t seem best pleased!

The four new episodes, each named after a season, pick up nine years after the seventh series ended.

For other fans it was just too much of an emotional rollercoaster.

One wrote: “honestly had tor rewind the first five minutes ’cause I couldn’t see anything while crying…”

Why oh why could they not have brought it back permanently?

Now we’re feeling the loss all over again.

Gilmore Girls 4eva.
