Gillian McKeith Dazzles in Bold Outfit at Red Carpet Event

Looking great at 58!

| Updated:

We haven’t seen much of Gillian McKeith recently – her last big TV appearance was way back at the start of 2016, when she was sent in to the Celebrity Big Brother house to detox the housemates.

But we’ve just seen a lot more of her than we expected, when she rocked up to a red-carpet bash wearing an incredibly saucy outfit!

The 58-year-old Scot was a long way from her usual demure outfits, with Halloween just around the corner.

She boldly strode the red carpet in tiny black leotard and dramatic cobweb dress, made out of GLUE by designer Alisa Vaseghi.

Gillian was making a rare public appearance with her daughter Afton, 17, on the red carpet for new film Rise of the Foot Soldier 3: The Pat Tate Story.

She flashed her pins – which admittedly look fantastic for a 58-year-old – and even wafted the loose ends of the dress up to show off her figure.

Teen Afton – a dead ringer for Gillian – was also wearing an outfit by the same designer, although not quite as out-there.

Reaction to the dress was, shall we say, mixed. One Twitter user wrote: “May I remind Gillian McKeith that she is a 58 year old woman with two daughters. What the hell are you doing?”

And another commented: “Gillian, Halloween is next week!” in reference to her ghoulish appearance.

However, many fans also praised her bravery and sense of fun, with one writing: “I actually think @GillianMcKeith looks great! Lovely set of pins, she’s got every right to flaunt it as much as any younger woman.”

Gillian first found fame way back in 2004 when she hosted the healthy “You Are What You Eat” on Channel 4.

One of her methods of gauging someone’s health was to poke around in their poo to check on the state of their insides.

But she truly became a legend of British TV in 2010 when she was parachuted into the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! jungle, where her fainting fits had the nation in hysterics.

And the nation repaid her by constantly voting her into the Bush Tucker Trials.

We say fair play to you Gillian, you look great for your age and if more people had your attitude to fashion the world would be a less boring place!
