Harriet died from her injuries, with her beloved mum Toni Harris by her bedside.

Now a week on, the former Union J star has broken his silence.

The heartbroken singer and radio DJ posted a touching picture of himseld and Harriet on Instagram with the devastating message:  “I will never accept that you’re gone.

“You will always be with me. My best friend, my sister, my angel.

“Too pure and too beautiful to walk among humans, you now exist somewhere else, and I am honoured to have had the privilege to spend 21 years with you by my side.

“Don’t get used to it up there without me, I’ll see you soon beautiful girl. I love you.”

When the news broke last week about Harriet’s death, the young pop star was comforted online by famous play.

Rylan – who appeared with Union J on The X Factor in 2012 – wrote: “Saying a prayer for all of you @higeorgeshelley .

“We all love you and your amazing family. Sending so much love #RIPHarrietShelley x.”

Betsy-Blue, the ex-girlfriend of George’s replacement in the band Casey Johnson, also paid her respects to Harriet online.

“My heart breaks for @higeorgeshelley .. thinking about you and your family. Harriet was a beautiful soul…” she wrote.

George’s old Union J bandmates also paid their respects to the DJ and former I’m A Celeb star.

Josh Cuthbert posted:  “Heartbroken about the news of Harriet Shelley. Such a lovely kind hearted girl. Will be missed so much. Thinking of you George brother.”

Harriet’s mother Toni Harris was at Harriet’s bedside following the accident and said her daughter was “in the wrong place at the wrong time”.

“George and the entire family are devastated and heartbroken at the loss of their beloved, beautiful Harriet,” George’s rep told The Sun.
