That saying about a woman scorned? Former Emmerdale star Gemma Oaten appears to be living proof that there’s some foundation to it.
The actress recently enjoyed a brief fling with presenter Nick Knowles – until he unceremoniously dumped her.
The former lovers ended up in a bitter war of words in the national press and over social media – and the actress is said to be devastated.

According to New! magazine she feels “used” by Nick, after he returned to his wife following their short dalliance, dropping her “like a ton of bricks”.
The 32-year-old is reported to think the BBC host, 54, is a user, who freaked out after photos of them canoodling at the TV Choice awards emerged.
According to a source, Gemma is most upset about “cold and calculating” Nick suggesting she told her side of the sorry story to the press for financial gain, who claimed Gemma had used the story for “financial gain”.
The source added that Nick and Gemma last saw each other after a romantic weekend in Edinburgh last month, when all still seemed fine and dandy.
“They were kissing and he said he wanted to see her the next weekend, after their amazing time. But by the following Tuesday, he’d texted her and told her it was all over,” revealed the mole.
“He said, ‘I can’t do this right now, we can’t have a relationship.
“Gemma was devastated. She was really into him. Then a few days later he was back with his wife and took her to Lake Garda – where he said he’d take Gemma. He used her. She thought something would continue as she really liked him.”
Oh dear. Best for all concerned if they chalk it all up to experience and Gemma licks her wounds in private.
