Gemma Collins is giving friends and family ‘her time’ instead of presents this year

It's the most valuable thing she can give

Reality star Gemma Collins intends to give her loved ones the gift of her time instead of traditional presents this Christmas, as she embraces her spiritual side.

The former TOWIE fave, 38, said she thinks the festive season has become “too consumer driven” and swore she didn’t want any gifts as she already has “everything [she] wants”.

In a chat with the Daily Star, Gemma said: “This Christmas, I actually want nothing. I have everything I want. I think Christmas is far too consumer driven now. I’m very spiritual these days, so I actually don’t want anything.

“I will probably buy Arg something but I personally don’t need anything… material possessions do not make you happy.”

The most valuable thing I can give anybody is my time.

Speaking further, Gemma talked about the “pressure” people feel in the build-up to Christmas Day and how “stressed” they can get.

She continued: “I think there’s a lot of pressure on people at Christmas because everyone gets so stressed at this time of the year. The most valuable thing I can give anybody is my time, because I’m so busy…”

Thankfully for Gemma’s fans, the diva hasn’t become so spiritual that she’s decided to give up her TV career.

Later this month, the GC will take to the ice rink for the Christmas special of Dancing On Ice.

Gemma, who was one of the contestants on the 2019 series of the hit ITV ice skating competition, recently gave fans a taste of what to expect when she returns to the rink.

She shared a few videos to Instagram of herself getting her skates back on and told fans she wanted to capture the first moment she stepped back onto the ice.

Speaking from the side of a rink, Gemma said: “This is the moment you’ve all been waiting for. I’m getting this recorded because I have not stepped on the ice since, I think, March. So let’s just see if my legs work. I’m not that nervous, I’m really excited to get back on the ice today.”

Gemma famously went crashing to the ice in a shocking fall that left her with badly bruised knees and destroyed her confidence.
